The Mindbender line has been completely overhauled with a unique design that embodies the best qualities of the previous Mindbender models and benefits from a new design introduced by K2 engineers: the 101 sits at the very center of that. Instead of rinsing and repeating, the new collection has introduced a damping technique that stands apart from anything else in the industry.

Dubbed Dark Matter, K2 combines metal powder and PU into small pucks that are strategically placed in front of and behind your bindings to absorb vibrations. This system significantly reduces the amount of material needed to keep this directional all-mountain ski stable and composed at high speeds. The result is a ski that is substantially lighter than the old Mindbender 99, offering a more approachable flex pattern tern that remains reliably damp. Rounding out the construction is wood core paired with a smaller sheet of metal underfoot that extends just beyond the binding area. While the skis feel lighter and more approachable than previous iterations, the Dark Matter technology and strategic metal placement provide impressive dampness and stability.
