Scope 99 | 2027

Bamboo is back in Liberty skis for the 2027 season. For years, this material was a mainstay in Liberty's products, acting as an energetic supplement to the other wood that took up the majority of the core. The Scope 99 is one of numerous skis that receives this treatment, and for a twin-tip mid-waisted ski, bamboo is truly a no-brainer.

Overall, Liberty's Recoil core construction includes poplar wood, bamboo stringers, a synthetic plate underfoot and carbon fiber strings. It feels exceptionally lively and while it's quite soft, it has great rebound out of turns and feels poppy off jumps. This friendly yet feisty build is complemented by a very freestyle-oriented shape that has camber underfoot, along with plenty of tip and tail rocker. In addition to providing a ton of energy, this keeps the ski feeling very intuitive and easy to control, allowing effortless entry and exit from turns, and easy buttering.

The Scope 99 is a great daily driver for intermediate or advanced skiers looking for something easy to rip around the resort. This ski is very freestyle-influenced, opting to take laps through the park and hunt down every side hit rather than just dropping hip around the resort. You can feel how much this ski wants to pop after one run. It's a breeze to turn and fun in the park, I only got more comfortable on it.
