Aspen-based Obermeyer has long been known for its heritage resort style but the company has recently branched out with the athlete-inspired Off-Grid collection. The Tagert Shell is a two-layer jacket with 30K waterproofing and breathability that rivals three-layer performance. With a relaxed fit, it utilizes two-way stretch nylon to provide comfort and flexibility, and a comfortable lining that allows you to wear whatever you find most comfortable underneath. Two exterior chest pockets and one interior pocket give you plenty of room for an extra pair of gloves or some all-important snacks to keep you fueled.

The three-layer Steibis bib is equally rated for waterproofing and breathability, hugging the body slightly more than the jacket. If you prefer extra layers or a roomier fit, you could consider sizing up. Half-length side zippers provide all the ventilation you'll ever need but more importantly, make bathroom breaks less of a hassle. While Obermeyer wasn't on many freeskiers' radars a few years back, they've certainly re-entered the conversation.
