Designed in North America, the all-new 105 CTI sets a new course for Atomic’s Maverick line. Boasting a highly directional design, easy edge engagement, a solid carving platform and a shovel wide enough to float in the powder, this ski hits the sweet spot for the everyday demands of traditional chargers like Daron Rahlves.
Tested in a variety of conditions and terrain, the 105 CTI proved itself to be a versatile powerhouse, catering to advanced and expert skiers who seek a dynamic ride. A poplar and ash core is paired with a blend of carbon and Titanal (CTI) to deliver a highly responsive and stable ride.
Boasting a moderate weight (2,050 grams at 185 cm model), this ski rolls through the chop like a freight train. With and All-Mountain Rocker and fairly traditional mounting point, the ski features relatively short tails, making tight turns in the bumps or trees nearly effortless, and the oversized HRZN 3D beveled tip–which includes wood for added stability–provides great float in fresh pow.
Atomic’s engineering team went the extra mile to reduce environmental waste by using more recycled content in the topsheet and cutting overall material-based CO2 equivalent emissions by 24-percent compared to previous models.
Overall, the blend of agility, stability and versatility enables the new Atomic Maverick 105 CTI to stand out as a top contender for hard-charging skiers. If you’re looking for a jibby, playful ski, this one might not fit the bill, but for those who want to push their limits with a more traditional design, the Maverick 105 CTI is a daily driver that won’t disappoint.
