When Salomon introduced the world to the iconic 1080 ski, they incidentally shaped the future of freeskiing more than any brand before. Brought to life by an all-star crew that includes Sämi Ortlieb, Nico Vuignier and Gavin Rudy, the new Départ.02 builds on the success of the 01, now in a more slender build with a softer core.

The Départ.01 was made to press and swerve, no matter the terrain, with Ortlieb describing it as an equalizer-meaning you didn't need steep descents or a massive park to have fun. The .02 follows a similar philosophy. The ski is crafted with each individual in mind and with dimensions that fluctuate depending on length. A longer ski means wider dimensions and a slightly larger radius.
