The Dynastar M-Free 99 is a smooth and adaptable ride that’s perfect for lighting up the full range of terrain at your local mountain. Excelling in the all-mountain category, it handles a whole variety of conditions like a champ and allows you to adjust your turn shape with ease. Although it’s not the most powerful on hard-packed snow, the traditional rocker/camber profile and a weight of 1,900 grams per ski ( at 185 cm) allow for a smooth ride that rewards every bit of effort with direct performance.
Like many of Dynastar’s new skis, its poplar and polyurethane ingredients are wrapped with fiberglass and dubbed Hybrid Core 2.0. The recent implementation of this new ski-building process reduces composite elements and makes better use of wood to eliminate overall waste; a solid step toward increased sustainability.
Whether you’re a moderate skier looking to improve your skills or an experienced rider pushing your upper limit, the M-Free 99 delivers stability and playfulness in equal measure. Its user-friendly design and well-rounded performance make it a worthy choice for skiers of various levels. Compared to stiffer Dynastar models, like the M-Pro 100 Ti, the M-Free 99 feels more forgiving, willing to play and less fall-line oriented. This comes in handy when dissecting thick glades or dropping into bump lines. As one of our testers commented, “The Dynastar M-Free 99 handled great in all conditions, whether I was hitting cliffs, sending jumps or mashing up the chunder. I really enjoyed this ski’s ability to shred anything. I would say it’s perfect for a inventive, all-mountain skier.”
