Five-finger gloves are great for dexterity while mittens are the go-to for extra warmth. Three-finger, or Lobster mitts are the best of both glove worlds by freeing the pointer finger from the other three fingers, improving dexterity. Leki’s Patrol 3D Lobster glove is a premium example of this style of construction, featuring the three-finger design, PrimaLoft Gold insulation and an ultra-soft, Micro-Bemberg liner. The comfort fit of this three-finger mitt gives the wearer room to move and work, without having to expose the hand to winter’s harsh elements—hence the name. This full goat-leather mitt with silicone-enforced grip pads is a great option for winter professionals, including ski patrollers, instructors, and guides. Rated extra warm, the Patrol 3D Lobster is also water-resistant, making it a great choice for daily use and abuse out on the slopes.
