Having gained many fans, the Maverick 115 returns with the same build this year. It was designed in collaboration with Atomic freeride athletes Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Craig Murray. These two love making long, powerful turns down some of the most consequential terrain in the world, then floating a backflip off a wind lip, and the Maverick 115 CTI is the perfect tool for the job.
Built to rip the fall line, its core is comprised of wood, metal and carbon. While the wood and metal provide a damp and solid backbone, the addition of carbon brings life to the ski, actively returning energy out of every turn.Â
The ski has ample tip rocker and long, low tail rocker to keep it from hooking, while providing great float in deep fresh. To further improve float, Atomic adds a spoon-shaped tip, dubbed HRZN tech, to help plow through pow like a ship’s hull.
This ski is designed for advanced and expert skiers who refuse to slow down. It’s meant for long, arcing turns down technical terrain or open bowls and craves to be skied with tenacity.
