The jacket is super lightweight and packable during strenuous ascents but as soon as the wind starts to howl or the snow starts to fly, a helmet-compatible hood, adjustable cuffs and integrated powder skirt turn your kit into Fort Knox. If the two oversized chest pockets, double hand warmer pockets, arm pocket and two internal pockets on the jacket don’t give you enough storage space, the expandable cargo thigh pockets on the pants will surely suffice. Pit and thigh vents expel excess body heat and every pocket, zipper and vent remains accessible when using a backpack.
