Revolt 101 | 2027

Last year, Volkl introduced a new freeride ski to the Revolt family. The 101 mimics the flatter, more directional tail shape and robust feel of the Revolt 114. It was met with admiration for its ability to tackle hard-packed conditions and maneuverability in the steeps.

For our testers with solid fundamentals and the creativity of a freerider, the Revolt 101 stood up to the resort's toughest terrain. It has just enough of a platform to stay on top of a modest layer of new snow, but the ski really shines days after a storm when the snowpack has been beaten into submission. The Revolt 101's square tail gives the ski a directional personality that locks into turns beautifully. Though the marginal amount of tail rocker does serve a purpose, letting you pivot in tight spots and make a few switch carves along the way.

The little sibling to the Revolt 114, the new 101 takes a light, remarkably powerful ski and packs it all into a body that can be skied nearly any day of the season. It delivers the dependability of a freeride ski without extra weight or surface area. It's a ski that won't buckle when pushed and is still a blast to ride, from park laps to ripping chutes. Coupled with an eye-catching topsheet design that will certainly spark up conversation in the lift line, the Revolt 101 proved to be an impressive addition to the lineup last year, and continues to turn heads for its stable performance and presentation in 2027.
