The Four Faces of Mount Snow

Mount Snow offers skiers of Southern Vermont four different faces to explore the 601 skiable acres. While Mount Snow averages around 150 inches of snow a year, 83-percent of the resort is also covered by snowmaking, which means there's always something fresh to slide on. What really sets Mount Snow apart, however, is the 100 skiable acres dedicated solely to the eight terrain parks known collectively as Carinthia Parks. This legendary park scene has churned out talent to the likes of Tom Wallisch as well as Olympians Devin Logan and Caroline Claire.

Skiing Mount Snow

The skiing at Mount Snow is not to be underestimated. Although the majority of the mountain is best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers, the grooming and snowmaking is so top-notch that if you're looking to perfect your turn, work on edge control or maybe even practice skiing switch on reasonably graded sloped, Mount Snow has a lot of space to do that. Admittedly, Mount Snow is not the place for crazy steeps or technically tight tree skiing but if you're someone who loves to slide on steel and catch air time off perfectly manicured jumps, there's no better place to be on the East Coast.

Mount Snow is unique in that it dedicates 100 of its skiable acres solely to its terrain parks. Split into eight different parks, Carinthia Parks has produced a cult following across the Atlantic for its beautifully designed setups for beginners to learn the basics as well as foster progression for the park rats. Carinthia Parks is so beloved, the park has manifested into its own brand, and is credited as the place where Tom Wallisch first learned how to ski park, as well as the birthplace of Olympians Devin Logan and Caroline Claire.
