Park City spans 7,300 acres as North America's largest lift-accessible resort. From the Park City Village, head over to the Woodward Parks, which provide everything from beginner terrain parks to advanced terrain parks with massive features. For beginners, we recommend taking the Town Lift, which provides access to Home Run, Utah's longest green trail at 3.5 miles.
On the Park City Village side, intermediates can explore King Con Express's numerous wide-open groomers and Silverlode Express for a mix of intermediate trails and easier advanced trails. You can also start from the Canyons Village side of the mountain where you can take the Orange Bubble Express for numerous blue runs that take you back down to the base.
The advanced terrain defines Park City Resort. Jupiter Bowl on the Park City Village side holds steep chutes and powder stashes that stay untracked after storms. This area is so expansive you could spend all day hiking and lapping these steep chutes and perfectly spaced trees. On the opposite side of the mountain, Ninety-Nine 90 features challenging tree skiing and hike-to terrain.
Pro Tip: Pick one base area per day, with Canyons offering more challenging terrain. Trust us, it's a journey to ski between the villages.
Park City is known for its diverse lodging options, providing everything from ski-in/ski-out luxury resorts to hostels where you can snag a bed for under 20 bucks. This makes the incredibly large resort accessible to all age groups, whether you're going there for vacation or chasing storms. Speaking of which, Park City averages 355 inches of snow per year, meaning powder days and storms are plentiful.
Park City Mountain Resort is conveniently located just 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), making it one of the most accessible ski destinations in the U.S. Major airlines such as Delta, Southwest, United, American, and Alaska Airlines provide direct flights to SLC from numerous cities across the U.S. and internationally.
Once at the airport, visitors have several transportation options. Renting a car is a popular choice for flexibility, with a quick and scenic drive via I-80 East to Park City. However, winter weather may require a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Alternatively, numerous shuttle services, like Snow Country Limousine or Canyon Transportation, offer reliable, door-to-door service to the resort. For eco-friendly or budget-conscious travelers, rideshare options such as Uber and Lyft are readily available, as are local bus services operated by Park City Transit. The short travel time and variety of options make getting to Park City hassle-free.
