All good things must come to an end... but for Arapahoe Basin, that day isn't today. The beloved ski area announced that it will open again for another bonus weekend of riding thanks to colder temperatures and late-season snowfall in the high peaks of the Rockies.

"Recent storms and our high elevation, in conjunction with our mountain ops hard work all season long, are what's keeping us running for yet another weekend," A-Basin Communications Manager Shayna Silverman said, elaborating on the decision to keep lifts spinning.

She continued, "This is what The Basin does; we read our mountain and its needs, and we adjust our operation accordingly. And after what has been a historically low snow year and record-breaking high temperatures all season long, making it to May 17 is a true feat thanks to our mountain ops hard work all season long." Arapahoe Basin has been open since October 27, once again giving the ski area the crown of Colorado's longest resort ski season, and making it the last in the state to operate.

The Basin will reopen on Friday, May 15, Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. Black Mountain Express and Lenawee will both be open, meaning the mountain will be skiable top to bottom. You'll find the party going strong with live music in the base area both Saturday and Sunday.

And did we mention that lift tickets are just $39? Yes, you read that correctly. Thanks to the team at A-Basin for keeping the hustle alive! Snag a ticket and enjoy a few fresh turns under (hopefully) bluebird skies this weekend.
