Building on the recently released AR ONE, Armada added touring-specific features to AR One AF 130, which is built for skiers who want to explore the resort and the backcountry with an emphasis on downhill performance. Armada's hybrid cabrio design pairs a plush feel in the tongue with a progressive flex in the cuff, so the boot takes impacts while still feeling snappy at turn initiation. It's a great combination for big cliffs followed by spicy runouts that require quick decision-making.

Armada uses the same dense plastic found in alpine boots, and in hand the AF feels substantial next to a lightweight touring boot. It's a deliberate choice that makes the 130 feel powerful and damp when crushing lines out of bounds.

On the spine, a walk mode hinge disengages the cuff from the shell for ample range of motion on steep skin tracks. The touring-specific liner uses soft material through the spine for extra mobility, and it's heat-moldable with high-quality foam that slows the pack-out process.
