The Best Ski Boots of 2026
Oct 1, 2025
For the 2026 season, K2 introduces the Cortex BOA line. The Cortex Zonal BOA 125 W, in particular, delivers exceptional stiffness in a low-volume offering for women, and is one of the first boots in the world to feature a dual BOA system.
The double BOA closure replaces the four buckles that have been standard on two-piece boots for the last 20 years. The top BOA dial wraps the boot’s cuff around the skier’s calf using two cable loops, slung through eyelets where the traditional buckles would normally sit. This differs from the bottom closure system, which pulls a single cable through a set of eyelets from anchor to dial. The upper system works exceptionally well on the cuff, as it allows the user to get a precise fit that translates to quicker energy transmission when initiating a turn. After testing this system, we can definitely say the wrap around the calf performs in a way that buckles struggle to replicate.
The Cortex Zonal 125 W BOA is a revolutionary women’s ski boot, designed to give aggressive skiers the performance they need to push their limits.
Note: This is last year's model and may have limited availability.
