F1 RS | 2027

A long-standing series from Scarpa, the F1 family gets notable updates for 2027 that make it a dream on the skin track and a valiant choice for rowdy freeride descents. The RS is the most aggressive sibling in the family. This isn't the first F1 to feature BOA, but the 2027 F1 RS is the first touring-specific boot to run the heavy-duty BOA H+1 system on the upper cuff. The cable feeds through a pulley that redirects to the forefoot, letting you lay into the front of the boot without losing tension anywhere in the system. It also moves the dial out of the danger zone where chunky snow can knock it loose when you put a ski on edge.

The 101-mm last also brings overlap flow construction, mixing Grilamid Fiberglass LFT with softer Pebax. That combination lets a relatively stiff boot flex through the front of the cuff and over the instep for easier entry and a more progressive feel underfoot. An Intuition FS Tour liner rounds out the 1340 g package and 60 degrees of flexion means this thing is made for walking. The old F1 was perfect on the ascent but left plenty to be desired going down. The RS handles both.
