Now in its second year, the FS 01 120 stands out in the boot market with an unusual fit philosophy: one last width for all skiers. The result is a boot that delivers a unique blend of comfort, precision and progressive performance.

Unlike traditional boot companies, Phaenom intentionally designs all boots with a wider 102-mm last and pairs that with an extremely snug heel pocket. The wide forefoot relieves pressure while the narrow heel pocket locks you in to drive the boot. Skiers with exceptionally narrow feet may notice some extra space in this boot, but sizing down helps with that. 

Phaenom reimagines the traditional three-piece design by combining the cuff from a four-buckle boot with the tongue from a traditional cabrio boot. This hybrid system brings the best of both boots to provide a powerful ski experience. Further supporting the hybrid combination, Phaenom opts for a large rubber powerstrap instead of a buckle at the top of the boot. This helps ensure minimal space between your  shin and boot, creating a progressive flex while minimizing shin bang.

Inside the shell, you’ll find a unique liner with a rubberized sole that provides better energy absorption and dampening than foam insoles. However, this design eliminates the boot board, reducing customization options, especially for those with high insteps.

The FS 01 120 also features removable components throughout its construction, making repairs possible and enabling your boots to last for multiple seasons. The use of solely black plastic allows Phaenom to fully recycle these boots and reuse the melted plastic for new production.
