Mountain Hardwear
For ladies who spend the majority of the winter stacking vert in the backcountry, the new Mythogen kit hits the nail on the head. Utilizing 30 years of experience, Mountain Hardwear’s designers bring a combination of features that call to alpinists, but do so with a more progressive style and fit than the brand is typically known for.Â
Both the jacket and bib feature the new Gore-Tex Pro material that doesn’t use any harmful forever chemicals, yet is just as waterproof and breathable as the original Gore-Tex, and even more durable. Available in short, regular and long inseams, the bib is roomier in the thighs and knees for a boost in comfort and mobility. You’ll find six pockets on the chest and thighs (each with a beacon loop attachment), along with external leg vents that open up to a dual-sided drop seat for the most convenient bathroom break a bib has ever provided. Up top, the jacket features four zippered pockets as well as two internal mesh pockets and generous pit vents—all of which are functional with a backpack.Â
