The Protector+ Attack 16 GW pairs Tyrolia's Attack toe with the Protector heel. Where a lot of conventional heels releases vertically, the Protector's HR Pro heel adds a full 180 degrees of lateral rotation in addition to vertical, and it's tuned to stay put until loads get high enough to threaten a knee. The target is the backward twisting fall, where you're in the backseat with weight loaded on the tail and the ski wants to keep going while your leg doesn't.
New this year is the 16, which lands the DIN range at 5-16 and puts full-heel-release in reach of heavier and harder-charging skiers who were previously topping out on the 14. The FR PRO 3 toe piece brings a height-adjustable AFD that keeps uniform friction between boot sole and binding, so you maintain consistent release values as you push the limits.
