The Best Ski Boots of 2026
Oct 1, 2025
The Atomic Remedy 130 represents a new direction for the storied Austrian brand, merging its race DNA with the demands of aggressive freeride skiing. Built off Atomic’s Redster race platform, the Remedy 130 scales back the performance fit to complement big drops and technical terrain, creating a boot specifically engineered for hard-charging freeriders.
With a slender, 96-mm last and a true 130 flex rating, the Remedy 130 delivers a precise fit. Right out of the box, the boot feels substantial—noticeably heavier than other full alpine options, but in a way that adds confidence, not bulk.
That confidence stems from thick plastic used throughout the shell, which not only increases stiffness but also enhances the boot’s customization potential. The result is an extremely low-volume fit that initially feels snug but offers more material for custom adjustments. Atomic also slightly increases the volume around the big toe and includes a heat-moldable liner, enhancing fit and comfort without compromising the boot’s aggressive fit.
The densely-constructed shell, upright stance and rigid flex pattern offer unwavering support, especially when charging through rough snow at high speeds. This construction rewards skiers who prefer to drive aggresively through the front of their boots.
The Remedy 130 is recommended for advanced skiers who like to ski fast, hit large features and push their boots to the limit.
