This updated pole from G3 comes in two adjustable lengths: The Short version ranges from 95 to 125 cm and the long version runs from 115 to 145 cm. Built around 16 mm and 18 mm carbon shafts, it's a stiff, lightweight tool designed for long hauls through the backcountry.
A utility tab on the handle makes it easy to adjust touring risers and the wrist strap is removable, in case you want to detach while you move through avalanche terrain. Finally, G3's Ascent Grip—a thick, ribbed rubber extension below the handle—provides optimal grip on steep ascents, rather than choking down on the bare shaft.
