Shoulder season is passing us by, and spring has rushed into summer. Blue skies, warm air, and long days are back in style. But still the high peaks beckon and still there is fresh snow to be found... if you're willing to put in the leg work.

No stranger to hitting the skin track, Giray Dadali saddled up for a proper 3,200-foot ascent after 6-10 inches of snow fell in Utah's Little Cottonwood Canyon on May 19. As an engineer with J Skis, co-founder of Daymaker Touring and longtime staple of the freeski scene, Dadali has scored plenty of late-season pow, but it's not often that you manage to snag a day like this at your local mountain.

The crew rallied up Red Stack Peak, climbing up through Snowbird Resort and ascending ridgelines in search of clean turns. Open bowl laps, pow turns through the trees, and some proper bush-wacking and rock skiing back to the base; it doesn't get much better. Shout out to everyone still hunting lines out there!

May 19th with 6-10" of pow, decided to tour up Snowbird 3200' to the top of this chute in Baldy's Bowl aka Red Stack with Alex Liberatore and Alexa Dadali.
