Even those who don’t follow freeskiing in the slightest have likely seen one or two clips of Henrik Harlaut floating around the internet. EDOLLO has been around the block, and that includes highs and lows when you’re a professional athlete. The physical and mental battle to keep mind and body strong is an eternal struggle for those pushing the limits of their craft, and Harlaut knows this better than most.

A decade ago in 2015, as Harlaut was cementing himself in freeski history and starting to earn a global reputation beyond the sport, he endured two heinous crashes back to back. After he under-rotated on a jump in X Games slopestyle and knocked himself unconscious, few guessed he’d be back on skis in any reasonable amount of time. Sure enough, Dollo was back, but it was short lived. He then took a slam right to the shoulder that same winter and was sidelined for the foreseeable future.

“I spent the spring, summer recovering at home in Andorra – mostly alone by myself and so I decided to make this rehab edit and capture the progress of my recovery,” Harlaut said in a recent Instagram post. “Never planned on releasing it since it was more of a personal creation booster but now that it’s been 10 years on my computer I re-watched it and decided to make it live for whoever wanna see!” Through ups and downs, check out Harlaut’s journey below.

2015 ski season I took one of the heaviest slam of my life at Xgames slopestyle, recovered and got back to skiing hard for a few weeks and then boom another hit straight to my shoulder and I was back to the rehab.

Spent the spring, summer recovering at home in Andorra- mostly alone by myself and so i decided to make this rehab edit and capture the progress of my recovery.
