Armada is officially pulling back the curtain on Antimatter, a brand-new freeride ski series developed with Freeride World Tour winner and Natural Selection Ski competitor Max Palm. Launching Fall 2026, Antimatter represents Armada’s statement on where freeride skiing is headed: fast, technical and driven by creativity. The line will replace Armada's Declivity/Reliance skis.
"When it came to developing Antimatter, working with our athletes was essential," said Tony Gill of Armada’s product team. "We wanted this ski line to be a reflection of the way our athletes ski and how they view freeride evolving. They’re looking for skis that feel ultra stable in heavy terrain at high speeds, while being lively and loose enough to transition between lacing tracks, slashing features and popping airs."
Designed with heavy input from Armada’s wide-ranging team of freeride athletes, the Antimatter Series blends playful, freestyle-inspired camber profiles with subtly directional shaping. The goal was simple but ambitious. Build skis that can pin it through demanding terrain at speed while staying loose enough to slash, pop and adapt on the fly. The full lineup spans men’s and women’s models from 72mm to 114mm underfoot.
Big lines and deep pow; the Antimatter line is here for it
The Antimatter line features a tailored Titanal laminate, which Armada dubs Speedmetal, damping and stability were emphasized without killing energy or maneuverability. "We were able to reduce the overall volume of Titanal to get a more tuned flex that is smoother and less hingey where the metal terminates," said Gill.
He continued, "We get the added benefit of moving mass out toward the tip and tail of the ski, which does a lot of the work in quieting the noise you feel through the ski without building a complete tank that’s tough to maneuver."
The centerpiece of the collection is the Antimatter 114, Max Palm’s signature ski and the flagship of the series. Palm’s background, split between Sweden and France, gave him a deep alpine foundation and incredible freestyle instincts that have shaped his smooth, progressive style. The 114 was designed to allow that standout style to thrive on the world’s biggest stages.

"From big, serious lines to playful, surf inspired moments, the Antimatter 114 blossoms with the way I choose to ski," Palm told FREESKIER. "A tool that feels composed when things get heavy and playful when they open up."
That design DNA carries through the rest of the line. The Antimatter 100 distills the same concept into a true all-mountain freeride ski, tuned for firmer snow and varied terrain. Feedback from team athletes Todd Ligare and Anne [Wangler] Hjorleifson was instrumental here, pushing Armada to build a ski that can be driven hard at high edge angles while maintaining an energetic, adjustable feel. The 100 is offered with both men’s and women’s specific topsheets.
