Like a moth to a flame, Lucas Wachs just can't resist a few turns high in the Cascades... even when it's the middle of summer and conditions are dicey. But that's what we love about the wide world of skiing; people just keep exploring and pushing themselves in some of the coolest places on earth.
The Patagonia skier has had several successful voyages into the high alpine this summer. His latest mission with boarder Zak Mills took place around the summer solstice this year, with plenty of daylight to support the extended endeavor. (We might be two plankers, but Mills makes a turn that has us questioning if we want to convert to one plank.)
Some crispy snow kept the duo on their feet, with an audible leading to a highly preferable summer corn harvest. Tap in and tune out with Wachs and Mills, and don't forget to go get yours this summer!

Fun day skiing with my friend Zak Mills. We bailed on our original plan and ended up finding some really good skiing in the end! Fun full day close to the solstice. Enjoy!
