Sammy C, the prodigal son of freeskiing, is back in the news as he's officially uploaded his films from the last few years on his personal YouTube channel. When we say these are some of the hardest hitting films of all-time, that's no exaggeration. From AK to BC to Japan and back again, Sammy's projects are a testimate to his ability to make the impossible look easy.

You can now check out "VISION", "Grown", "Echo", "YUP" "North of Now" and "Kamase" in one place, with the latter three being the latest editions that Carlson chose to upload. We can only speculate as to why he decided to switch the projects over, but no matter the reason, we're more than happy to revist these films as winter 2025/26 slowly creeps closer.

The more you watch Sammy's riding, the more mezmerizing it becomes. While we can easily become numb to greatness thanks to overexposure, the oposite effect is sometimes true. The sea of content will help the truly profound stand out when it comes across your plate. That's what we find to be the case right here. Dive into each of these outstanding projects below.

Vision, it's not what you see, but how you see it. Once you obtain a clear vision, Believe in it.

The footage highlights lines captured during the filming of "North Of Now" & "YUP", as well as unseen moments from past winters spent free riding in his backyard.

The wait is over – GROWN is here.

This project has been a labor of love. I’m excited to share GROWN with you. Featuring an epic two-part Alaska segment filmed entirely at Black Ops Valdez, GROWN showcases some of my most unforgettable lines and years of Growth in the mountains.

I hope this film gets you fired up for the season ahead and reminds you why we do what we do. Thanks for watching, and for being part of the journey.

Hit play, sit back, and enjoy the ride. Have a good winter! 🫡

We’re back again! To keep the winter stoke alive, we’re excited to present our latest short film, ‘ECHO’.

Filmed during the winter of 2024, just before our expedition to Alaska, ‘ECHO’ showcases the breathtaking landscapes of British Columbia and captures the essence of backcountry skiing. Despite facing a season with limited snowfall and challenging conditions, we embraced the opportunity to venture out and stack some memorable clips. While the lack of precipitation and a stable snowpack hindered our plans for certain pillow lines, it didn’t deter our passion for getting out into the mountains—a warm-up for Alaska, if you will. ‘

ECHO’ is a tribute to all the dedicated riders out there. “I hope this film gets you fired up for the days ahead and reminds you why we do what we do.” -Sammy

Drawn to steep, featured lines with ample opportunity for creative route-finding, Sammy searches out next-level terrain in North of Now, though more than the technical zones he drops into, it’s the flow that he finds in each descent that continues to set his riding apart. North of Now is a testament to what surfing has instilled in the Oregon native’s skiing: an ability to find the spontaneous in the mountains, to flow with the topography, and to instill his raw and powerful, yet effortlessly smooth style into every line.
