The Squaw Valley park crew recently partnered with Snow Park Technologies (SPT) to build a new 22-foot superpipe, located in Mainline Park. Squaw Valley consists of four terrain parks that spread across the entire resort, including a 13-foot-mini-pipe and now, a 22-foot superpipe. The park crew and SPT are continuously working towards keeping the parks full of fresh new features and the addition of the new superpipe speaks to their commitment.
While the 22-foot pipe is a true beast, Squaw Valley offers terrain parks for all levels. Belmont Terrain Park offers small to medium features for skiers and riders who are just beginning their park career. âMany of the small and medium features located in Belmont are actually âmini meâ versions of some of the bigger features in Gold Coast,â said terrain park manager Jess Richitelli in a release. âWe set it up that way so skiers and riders can get comfortable on the smaller features before they step up to hitting the larger features in Gold Coast.â
Once youâve conquered Belmont, Gold Coast offers a five-pack jump line and a wide variety of jib setups. As you move down the jump line, each jump gets progressively larger allowing for skiers and riders to improve their skills. Also available is a custom GoPro feature, consisting of three boxes on one rideable elevated platform.
Squaw Valley has added a new high-speed lift, Big Blue Express, and The Pulleyâa modern rope-tow helping skiers and riders cross the flats, both making it easier to access the parks. For more information visit: www.squaw.com/the-mountain/terrain-parks
