Swiss Valley Big Air Contest 07-08

This years big air contest at Swiss Valley one to remember. With the dj gettin a good vibe goin the riders threw down. The first run consisted of a zero spin from local Dylan Lunsford, a 540 from 9 year old snowboarder Tyson New, and Tysons older brother throwing a very smooth 360. As the judges were getting the first run scores together, riders were trying to stay loose waiting for the next round to start. Some riders hit the beginner park to play around on the rails. In the second run Thomas Williams threw an extremely smooth switch 360. With tricks like 540 mute grabs and cork 540s being thrown everybody could tell this was gunna be a close comp. third and final run saw tricks like; a switch 540 from Dylan Lunsford, huge 720 by Mason New, big air and a huge daffy by an old-timer, and a 180 truckdriver by Thomas Williams. As the competitors were waiting for the awards to be announced they enjoyed delicious pizza provided by Swiss Valley. You could literally feel the excitement as the awards were being read. 13 and under skiing; Thomas Williams in 3rd, Dylan Lunsford in 2nd, and in 1st place Was Mason New. Congratulatiobs to all the winners and we hope that there will be the same level of competition next year.
