Updated 25/26 Ski Resort Closing Dates As of April 13

It’s almost time to hang up the skis and trade them for a swimsuit as the 2025/26 ski season is nearing its close. Almost... but not yet! Current conditions and future forecasts are making it difficult for certain resorts to stay open through April. 

Some ski areas have already set a closing date, while others are trying to stick to their projected closure. Notable resorts, among others, that are still TBD on their closing date include Winter Park and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and Palisades Tahoe in California. Mammoth Mountain announced it plans to stay open through Memorial Day. Copper Mountain in Colorado just annouced that the following lifts closed on April, 12: Timberline Express, Woodward Express, Sierra, Rendezvous, Storm King, EZ Rider, Green Acres (Pitchfork and Gem). But, they still have four lifts still spinning through their projected closing date of April, 26. These lifts include American Flyer, American Eagle, Excelerator, and Super Bee.

Out east, it's a different story. The winter's bounty is still being reaped in Vermont and beyond, so get that cold smoke while you can! No matter where you're riding, if chairs are spinning, we want to see you getting after it.
