A wet slab avalanche ain't nothin' to mess with

Wet slab avalanches are oftentimes downplayed in terms of danger, perhaps on account of their “slow moving” character. This video—uploaded June 1, showcasing a springtime slide in Austria—serves as a reminder that this form of avalanche is not to be taken lightly. That’s a mess of wet, heavy snow. One certainly wouldn’t want to be caught in its path.
