In its 12th year, iF3 kicked off in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on Thursday, October 17th, showcasing over 80 film submissions over the course of the weekend. With a reputation for being the only independent ski and snowboard film awards show, iF3 prides itself on showcasing films from across the snowsports spectrum, with diverse athletic performance, artistry and production efforts all taken into account as part of the judging process.

To cap off the weekend’s success, the iF3 Awards handed out 26 awards to the year’s best ski and snowboard films in four categories: Amateur, Athlete, Open and Pro. Winners were determined by a panel of judges, including Forecast Magazine’s Jeff Schmuck, pro skier Will Wesson, Newschoolers’ Evan Heath, Zach Aller, Guilaume Morissette and Ralph Samson.
