Bobby Brown could have ended his skiing career years ago and still had his name cemented in the history books. The six-time X Games medalist will undoubtably go down as one of the greatest big air skiers of all time, but he has his sights set far beyond the competition scene. Bobby is joining the growing club of legendary park skiers transitioning to the backcountry, and whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks had clearly smacked their head on the groomer one too many times. Voyaging into the Tetons with the MSP film crew, B-Boy B-Brown looked as natural in the Jackson side country as an 85 year-old Hans back in Snowmass’s Makaha park. That is to say, Brown is one muthaf*ckin’ rippah. But this transition hasn’t come without a price, as can be seen at the start of this clip, he has taken many brain churning tumbles in search of that perfect line or landing. But for a born’n’ bread animal like Bobby, dusting off the goggles and heading back up for another try is nothing new. An inside look at his segment in MSP’s recent film “Huck Yeah!” showcases heart stopping drops and equally as shocking powder. If you don’t get it by now, it’s one wild ride. Clearly, the passion that Bobby has embedded inside of him for skiing isn’t going away any time soon, and that’s just what you love to see.
