Colorado receives its first tasty helping of snow since last season

Well folks, it’s August 19, and Colorado just saw its first snowfall since the end of last season. The Alpine Visitor Center webcam on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park revealed a dusting of snow, thanks to cold temperatures last night.

Denver also reported a record low of 47 degrees this morning. Earlier this summer, both Sunshine Village and Jackson Hole also received a blanket of the white stuff. We all hope this is a sign of things ahead. While we still have over a month before the seasons change, it can’t hurt to start those snow dances early, people.
