This morning, the Dew Tour released the first wave of confirmed athletes for the iON Mountain Championships, to be held in Breckenridge, December 13-16. Additionally, Dew Tour has announced ski and snowboard big air are included on the event roster for the first time.
In the men’s superpipe, confirmed athletes to date include Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall and Kevin Rolland. Confirmed men’s slopestyle riders include Bobby Brown, Nick Goepper and Tom Wallisch; the three are also among those competing in the big air. On the women’s side, Ros Groenewoud, Maddie Bowman, Brita Sigourney and Jen Hudak have confirmed for superpipe, while Kaya Turski, Keri Herman and Emilia Wint are a go for slopestyle. According to this morning’s press release, the Dew Tour’s new format for 2012 also includes a Film Night in downtown Breckenridge, “recognizing the most influential and progressive films of the season.” The iON Mountain Championships will also include a concert, performing artists and showtimes set to be announced at a later date.
