We all have our own reasons for pushing ourselves to the limit. Skiing can demand quite a bit from the individual, especially when it’s your livelihood. In ‘From Source’, the Verbier-based freeride skier Yann Rausis imagines quite the scenario that leads one man on a mental and physical adventure, from the dead of winter on the high peaks, to the rolling snow strewn valleys of spring time. This short film is packed full of incredible views, from Verbier to Saas Fee, and Yann’s skiing is poetry in motion. It’s clear his time spent intensely competing on the Freeride World Tour left him with some fine tuned skills. Yann’s passion for skiing, and his deep ties to nature, go far beyond the surface. Dim the lights and turn up the volume, because this one is a hell of a ride.
