The Griffon X 13 is the next generation of the most widely used binding in skiing, and the major update is to its height. Sitting at 14 mm in the heel and 9 mm in the toe, it's the lowest binding in the Marker's freeskier lineup. Lower height means quicker edge-to-edge transitions and better feedback through your feet, which pays off the same way in a firm carve as it does in landing a switch nine.
The 13 uses the same architecture as the Jester x MWerks, but substitutes the magnesium housing for high-tech plastics. Just because the binding uses lighter materials doesn't mean it is any less capable on bigger lines. Durable materials withstand daily abuse and create a lightweight package that works well no matter which side of the boundary line you're on.
