One of most popular hybrid bindings on the market returns with significant improvements for 2024-25. Salomon has implemented a height-adjustable AFD with a single block aluminum insert for 30-percent more lateral stiffness than its predecessor. This increased sturdiness fosters confidence to ski hard in the backcountry, as well as the resort. The hybrid S/lab Shift 2.0 bridges the gap for skiers who want the efficiency of a touring binding when moving uphill and the power transmission of a DIN-certified alpine binding on the way down. For uphill travel, the wings on the toe piece extend fit pin-tech touring boots and a pole-adjustable climbing aid comes in handy when the pitch steepens. At the transition, the toe and heel quickly convert to receive standard alpine boot toe and heel pieces, ensuring safe and consistent release qualities that allow you to explore the backcountry and resort alike.
