A new micrometric Anti-Friction Device (AFD) adds 30-percent more lateral stiffness than previous generations, giving skiers more connection from boot to edge so you can have the benefits of an alpine binding in a hybrid. A new toe piece allows for lateral movement and fast-recentering, giving skiers more consistent release performance and a three-part power heel provides shock absorption. With 16 mm of elastic travel aid, this shock absorption helps aggressive skiers on hard landings.
No matter where the day takes you, the Shift 2 16 delivers the versatility needed for both resort and backcountry skiing. The DIN scale is 8-16 with a weight of 1210 grams, making this binding better suited for more advanced skiers. The brake width comes in your typical all-mountain sizes, ranging from 90 to 120 mm.
