Mt Bachelor getting pounded!

News from the Central Oregon Cascades and Mt Bachelor.

• The Cascade Lakes Highway will be closed for the season at noon today.

• The reason "“ heavy snow! This announcement was made today by the Deschutes County Road Department.

• Mt Bachelor received 12" overnight and 15.5" in the last 24 hours.

• Snow continues to fall heavily and is forecast to continue through Wednesday with totals around 2 feet.

• The resort is scheduled to open on Nov 21.

• Over 4,500 season passholders have not had their pass printed yet.

• These folks are urged to get to the Bend Season Pass office asap to avoid opening day waits.
