Ladies in snow sports have long known the struggle of finding anything tailored specifically to us. From bibs that don’t fit quite right to ski boots that don’t have wide enough calves, we are often overlooked by the ski industry overlords. Enter She-Shredz: a comprehensive women’s snow hub that consolidates all women-led clinics, camps and meetups across North America on one big calendar. They reach everything from rail jams to backcountry education, so there’s education, fun, and community building to be had for every type of female-identifying snow athlete.Â
The calendar dropped on September 3rd and will continue to be updated all season long to get eyes on all the juicy winter action for the ladies in the coming months from grassroots shredding to pro-led big mountain prep.Â
For She-Shredz founder Constance Traynor, the idea sprung up like all great ideas: on the chairlift. Palisades Tahoe's KT-22, to be exact. “I didn’t grow up on the mountain like a lot of adults who ski now…My first season was rough—mid-lesson on Granite Chief, a patroller literally told me to toss my skis at the end of the day,” she told FREESKIER. “[We need] a space where we can talk gear, share our feminine experience on the mountain, unite us, and inspire us to show ourselves what we can do.”Â

She-Shredz isn’t just any directory. Each event is thoroughly vetted to ensure it is women-led and creates a space for other women to grow and progress while feeling empowered.
Though winter has yet to come, the payoff is already showing. One She-Shredz member, Grisel, re-ignited her long lost skiing tenacity after attending a women' s clinic: “We got a message within a week saying that when she left Tahoe [after attending the clinic], she drove six hours–one way–to ski again in her home state of Virginia,” says Traynor. “That’s the power of helping someone find their spark.”
Women have been making strides individually in their skiing with She-Shredz, but the real value comes from the community. The centralized online hub on their website creates a forum for women to connect across state and international borders to broaden the female ski community. The inclusive goal and structure of the organization is its biggest asset, breaking down barriers for all women wanting to get in on snow sports action.Â
“My vision is that She-Shredz becomes the go-to space for anything women-specific in snow sports,” says Traynor. “Whether you’re a pro dropping in on the FWT or someone gearing up for your very first day, we’ve got something for you.”
The future of She-Shredz extends beyond the snow. “Eventually, we’d love to expand into all outdoor women’s sports—surfing, mountain biking, climbing and mountaineering. Because she can shred anything, not just snow.”
All in, the community is simply about making women feel like they belong in the places we enjoy most and spreading the stoke to one another. From personal experience, there’s nothing better than going skiing with your favorite girl gang–it’s truly electric and an experience all women deserve to have. So, fellow ladies, dive in head first this winter. It’s gonna be a good one.Â
