The Nines has gone through many iterations. From title sponsors to locations, it's changed a lot throughout the years. But the insanity of it all has remained consistent. The builds are always works of art; massive and intimidating as they are. And the skiers always throw down like it's the last session they'll ever have.
That's exactly what happened this year as the event headed to Japan for the first time. After years of planning and months of building at Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU, the event concluded earlier this month with athletes from around the world pouring in. For the first time ever we set foot into Japan and brought the Nines to Asia. After a week full of riding and vibing, we couldn't be more grateful – we made new friends, tried out new tricks and had the best time ever. A BIG shoutout goes out to our Location partner, Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU for being incredible hosts and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And another BIG shoutout to all our partners, creatives, riders, friends and family who make the Nines what they are today.
