Based in San Francisco, California, 16-year-old Eileen Gu is just coming into her own as a freestyle competition skier. A cross-country runner for her high school in the fall, Gu is a natural athlete with a knack for throwing big airs on a pair of sticks. Last season, Gu competed in both slopestyle and big air at the New Zealand Winter Games and ended up taking home gold in both. As a member of Faction’s Collective Team, Gu is excited to be a part of a crew with a strong female presence: think, Kelly Sildaru, Guilia Tanno, Sarah Hoefflin and Mathilde Gremaud.
