For the past couple of months, we’ve been releasing episodes from Whistler Blackcomb’s (WB) video series, The Big Picture . The series is aimed at discussing the most pressing topics in the ski scene: the first focused on climate change; the second on the overall participation; the third on the dangers of the backcountry.
The fourth and final episode is now here, and it’s a culmination of episodes one, two and three, highlighted by an in-depth interview with WB’s Chief Operating Officer, David Brownlie. As the man in charge of North America’s largest resort, he has a lot on his plate, and discusses that work load openly. Thoughts on climate change, participation and the backcountry are all addressed in a a no-frills manner. It’s an eye-opening piece of media for anyone involved with snowsports and a perfect way to end a powerful series from the biggest resort in North America.
