Adrià Millan is Already Skiing Big Lines in Argentina

Though the winter's just getting started, one of our favorite Argentine freeriders, Adrià Millan, is already poking into some beastly lines back home after big storms have reshaped the season.

Argentina has already seen its fair share of snow this winter, with resorts like Ski Portillo clocking 15 feet during the last storm cycle. One of our favorite South American rippers, Adrià Millan, has wasted no time in seeking out his favorite zones and taking advantage of the goods.

"It’s been a slow start to the season here in Argentina," Millan told FREESKIER on July 29. "We’ve had a few good weather windows and made the most of them, but the conditions have been pretty tricky in between." He's not lying, as the high alpine in the Andes Mountains has been a complete white room for days on end in the previous weeks.

Still, when conditions showed signs of stability and the skies cleared, Millan took the hint, checking off several sweet lines in a zone he dubbed Mini Alaska, located in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. "Looks like more storms are on the way," he continued, "so hopefully we’ll get more good days soon... if we get a weather window!"

The former GoPro Line of the Winter champion is no stranger to seeking out hidden gems in the sharp peaks of Argentina. Watch him work his magic below, and stay tuned for more from South America this season.
