November 6, 2010 – Columbus, OhioThe Mad River Mountain Staff will be hauling over 30 tons of ice to Downtown Columbus, then utilizing a specialized ice shredding machine to transform THE LC Pavilion into a ski slope, complete with entry to professional level freestyle rail features. The event will be showcased with a guest appearance by local Snowboard Olympian and Dancing with the Stars contestant Louie Vito. Live entertainment will be provided by two time snowboard half-pipe Olympian Trevor Andrew aka Trouble Andrew and Professional Snowboarder, DJ Marc Frank Montoya. Emcee for the event is Quiksilver team rider and X-Games Announcer Todd Richards. Throughout the day the public can participate in a freestyle ski and snowboard event that culminates with a Rail Jam, featuring skiers and snowboarders competing for over $3000 in cash and numerous prizes. The judges of the Rail Jam, Technine pro riders Dylan Thompson and Derek Dennison and Under Armour/Level 1 pro skier Ahmet Dadali will be displaying their abilities with a snowboard and ski demonstration on the competition rail set. Live entertainment by Trouble Andrew and a snow apparel fashion show by Roxy, Quiksilver, and Aspen Ski and Board, will closeout the event as we showcase the entire lifestyle surrounding the ski and snowboard industry "” Snow, Fashion, and Music.
