Nordica’s 3 Force system is the heart and soul of the Speedmachine 3 BOA 120. By utilizing three different material densities, this boot achieves great energy transmission while still prioritizing a snug fit. A stiff piece of PU, in a honeycomb pattern, follows the spine of the boot, enabling a snappy feel. Lower on the boot, this stiff PU is contrasted by softer plastic in the shell of the boot, which is more malleable, for improved comfort, and can be easily customized by a boot fitter. Over the top of the instep, Nordica implements the softest of the three plastics, improving ease of entry and exit and relieving pressure on the instep. On the bottom half of the boot, Nordica implements the BOA Fit System, which utilizes a turn dial which controls a metal cable to help you get a more precise fit than traditional buckles. The customizable, snug fit continues with a cork-reinforced liner, which efficiently molds to your foot during the heat mold process and also provides great impact protection and energy absorption.
