Designed in collaboration with Karl Fostvedt, the 2026 K2 Reckoner KF is built for advanced skiers who want to blend surfy powder turns and freestyle creativity. As a former Kings and Queens of Corbet’s champion and one of the best backcountry skiers on the planet, Fostvedt brings serious cred to the Reckoner KF’s design ethos. It’s part of the freeride-focused Reckoner collection, and while it shares the same playful spirit as its siblings, the KF dials up the versatility to tackle bigger, deeper terrain with confidence.
At 114 mm underfoot, the Reckoner KF prioritizes pow performance, but this isn’t your traditional powder plank. The blend of a soft flex, full twin-tip shape and generous rocker profile makes it easy to slash, smear and spin, but what stands out most is how composed it feels when conditions get choppy. Compared to lighter freestyle skis like the Reckoner 110, the KF brings more mass and torsional strength to the table, with the use of a carbon-braided core, flax reinforcement and a fishnet fiber weave. These materials allow for a fine-tuned ski that is reliable underfoot, and soft in the tip and tail—preventing it from being knocked around in variable snow but leaving it playful enough to pop with ease.
The Reckoner KF is especially fun for those who like to hunt natural features and throw tricks outside the park. This is Fostvedt’s backcountry weapon of choice, and few other skis serve as a better trench-town tool. It’s not built for icy hardpack or high-speed carving, but if you focus on catching air, buttering and staying nimble in soft or mixed snow, this ski delivers.
