The 2026 Rossignol Sender Soul 102 returns unchanged from its highly successful debut season, maintaining all the features that earned it widespread acclaim and FREESKIER Editors’ Choice recognition. After successfully filling the void left by the legendary Soul 7’s discontinuation, Rossignol has wisely preserved this ski’s proven formula that blends nostalgic Soul DNA with modern Sender performance and power.
Rather than using a full metal sheet that adds weight throughout the entire ski, Rossignol places a metal layer only in the middle third where you need power and edge grip most. This focused approach, which they call Titanal Beam, delivers underfoot stability while keeping the ski feeling smooth and quiet. The tips feature lightweight plastic inserts that reduce swing weight of the ski—a refined version of Rossignol’s Air Tip design that’s significantly stiffer and more effective than the original Soul 7’s honeycomb tips. This combination consistently provides convincing edge hold on firm snow while still enabling quick transitions between turns.
The shape and profile complement this stiff core with a directional design featuring plenty of tail taper that makes this ski feel planted and allows crispy round turns to feel extremely natural on groomers and off piste, alike. You’ll find tip rocker paired with a long camber profile and small amount of tail rocker. This combination contributes to the ski’s powerful carving performance while also providing give in the tail for releasing out of turns and maneuverability in moguls.
When compared to the new Sender Free 100, this ski is far less adept to butter or schmear. However, it is still versatile, and is keen on fast laps and big airs in challenging terrain.
The Sender Soul 102 truly serves as an all-mountain weapon designed for more directionally oriented, powerful skiers. The ski wants to be driven through the tip and can feel slightly demanding if you’re coming off a softer all-mountain ski. That said, it’s a great match for aggressive skiers who tackle a little bit of everything and prefer to point ‘em downhill.
