The redesigned Stormrider 88 arrives as the narrowest offering in Stöckli’s 2026 all-mountain freeride Stormrider collection, featuring updated lengths, dimensions and turn radii. While maintaining the race-inspired, frontside performance that defines the Stormrider series, this refreshed model incorporates a lighter construction and refined tail shape that expands its versatility beyond groomed terrain.
At 88 mm underfoot, the Stormrider 88 excels when laying down powerful arcs on hardpack. While the redesigned tail provides a more playful feel without sacrificing the precision Stöckli is known for. Rather than applying a traditional topsheet, the Swiss manufacturer uses multiple powder coatings directly on the top Titanal layer, with graphics added by transfer printing.
True to its heritage, the Stormrider 88 is exceptionally smooth and stable when carving at speed. What sets this generation apart is how the weight-saving refinements translate to improved agility in variable terrain. You can transition seamlessly from trenching groomers to navigating bumps or trees. The trade-off comes in deeper snow. While the tip rocker helps, you’ll want something wider from Stöckli’s lineup when conditions get deep.
For skiers who spend most of their time on piste the Stormrider 88 strikes an appealing balance. It maintains the carving performance on which Stöckli built its reputation while adding just enough versatility to handle whatever detours catch your eye.
