One of our favorite gear collections has returned. The Rossignol SUPER Project has been in motion for several seasons now, reviving designs from the brand's past and pairing them with new items in their arsenal. We've seen 80s-inspired silver and teal, flashy hot pink and now a retro black and yellow overlay straight out of 1992. This year's offerings are some of the best yet, with signature goggles, boots, bindings and skis all in the mix.

At the center of the collection lies the 2026 Rossi Super Blackops 98 ski. Pulling components from several previous models, the Super Blackops pits itself as an all-mountain tool that blends a stable core with a playful shape. A progressive sidecut and twin rocker profile meet a poplar core, Titanal beam and Rossi's signature Vibration Absorption System (VAS).

It's certainly not a soft ski for beginners or someone looking to cruise casually. Rather, we found it to be perfect for more aggressive skiing and high speeds in tight terrain. It serves technical skiers well in the park and has the stability to hold up on firm snow and large landings without being overbearing or locking you into a massive turn. Think hot laps at Alta or Copper.

The collection also showcases a new Super Pivot 2.0 GW B105 15 binding. It's the tried and tested metallic finish, 15-DIN Pivot you know and love, with a matching colorway that will make your feet truly unmissable on the hill. While not the cheapest binding on the market, Pivot 2.0 15's generally last a long time thanks to their durable metal construction. While heavy, they are well worth the investment for any advanced resort skier out there.

2026 Rossignol Super Project

The design is actually pulled from the original 1992 Rossignol 7S downhill ski, which was the first year the French mad scientists produced their VAS system. While similar dampening technologies are employed today, this originally allowed Rossi to create more stable skis that didn't chatter under high speeds.

The fast and furious nature of the SUPER Blackops pairs well with another important piece of gear in this collection: the High Speed Elite 120 LV boot. Much like the Super Blackops 98, this isn't the most burly, stiff boot Rossignol makes, but it can still hold its own under pressure. The low-volume fit, lively dual core shell and power strap make a boot that rebounds fast and stays resilient out of the turn. It's ideal for lighter-weight advanced skiers, for someone who's ready to step into their first boot that sits at the low end of the aggressive range, or for a skier who simply wants great stability but doesn't need the most powerful ski boot offered.

Rounding out the collection, we have OTAVA goggles, a top-of-the-line goggle complete with shatterproof lenses, a frameless wide-view design and anti-fog coating, as well as limited edition clothing options that we're already thinking about wearing on closing day next spring.

While we won't dive into the details here, we also strongly recommend checking out the Super Revenant snowboard and Super Heretic mountain bike.
